What is Take Back?
We accept all MYMARINI garments that you no longer wear, regardless of collection or where you purchased them. Our aim is to ensure that our products are sustainably and responsibly recycled or repurposed.
With the MYMARINI Take Back program, you join us in taking responsibility for your MYMARINIs.
During the pilot phase from April 2023 to April 2024 , we collected 199 pieces. We continously will evaluate the quality and quantity of submissions to plan further measures. Possible measures include 2nd use options, transfer to responsible recycling facilities, or collaboration with innovative recycling companies for material regeneration options. Additionally, we plan to establish infrastructure that complies with EU regulations on recycling and EPR.
How to Participate in the Take Back program
Reflect on which MYMARINIs you own but haven't worn for a while. Then use our online form to register your Take Back submission and receive further guidelines.
For customers living in Germany
You can request a shipping label through our online form. This label will be emailed to you a few days later. As a thank-you, after submitting your items, we’ll send you a €30 discount code for your next purchase.
For customers living outside of Germany
We currently only cover shipping costs for returns from within Germany. However, you can still participate in the Take Back program from anywhere in the world by sending us your old MYMARINIs, though you’ll need to cover the shipping costs yourself. As a token of our appreciation, you’ll receive a €35 discount code for your next MYMARINI purchase.
Guidelines
- Please ensure that all items are washed and dried (out of respect for our employees and for hygiene reasons).
- Submissions are limited to once per year per customer (with no limit on the number of pieces).
- You can submit MYMARINIs from all our collections (Swimwear, Ready-to-wear, Loungewear, Beach House, etc.).
- Please only send MYMARINI products; items from other brands are not accepted.
- This is not a product return; therefore, no refunds will be issued.

Manufacturer accountability is an increasingly important issue within the EU, with regulations like the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requiring manufacturers to manage their products throughout their entire lifecycle, including disposal and recycling. In Germany alone, 1.3 million tons of clothing are sent to landfills annually. We aim to take responsibility for our products and ensure they are properly recycled.
The Take Back Program started as a one-year pilot project in 2023. Having received 199 items in 12 months, we consider it a success and have now made it a permanent initiative. We’ll continue to provide regular updates on our progress through our impact board, social channels and newsletter. We are currently evaluating the quality and quantity of submissions to define our next steps, with the aim of finding the best recycling options for the materials.
