MYMARINI & AI
Our perspective, tools, and responsibility
MYMARINI is shaped by women and their inspiring stories. It stands for products and fabrics that make women feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in their own skin. Artificial intelligence does not change that.
The women who have made MYMARINI what it is today are real. Many of them our founder, Mareen, knows personally — through the ocean and surfing, from everyday life, from travels, or through shared projects.
That is how MYMARINI came to life. And that is how we want it to stay.
Our IN HER ELEMENT series reflects exactly this history: real women with their own stories, different perspectives, and a genuine presence. We want to show more of that, not less.
Where do we use AI?
We use AI mindfully as a creative tool: to create atmospheric visual worlds, expand visual possibilities, and explore ideas and settings that cannot always be produced physically — or do not need to be.
For the FLEUR Collection, we used AI to create artistic campaign imagery for the first time through a close collaboration between Mareen and AI visual artist Laura Dunkelmann.
AI helps us make creative processes more flexible and, in certain areas, more resource-conscious. It does not replace real encounters, nor does it replace our personality, values, or perspective as a brand.
Where do we not use AI?
For our IN HER ELEMENT series, we continue to work exclusively with real women. No generated personalities. No AI models used in place of real ambassadors. We will also continue to produce non-AI photo shoots.
How do we label AI-generated content?
We clearly and transparently identify AI-generated imagery with badges.
Who makes the decisions?
Technology never makes decisions on its own at MYMARINI. Our creative direction comes from Mareen and our team, guided by our values, our unique perspective on womanhood, and our responsibility as a brand.
The ultimate responsibility always remains with us as humans, and three questions guide us at all times:
- Does this image reflect our values?
- Does it keep diversity visible?
- Does it protect real women rather than replace them?
What comes next?
The use of AI is evolving rapidly, along with the opportunities and questions it brings. For us, one principle remains unchanged: Technology can expand creativity, but it should never replace humanity.
