JEDI Commitment
At MYMARINI, we believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect and have fair opportunities to participate and grow. That is why we are committed to the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI).
At MYMARINI, we are about more than swimwear. Behind every MYMARINI product are people: our team, our fabric and production partners, and our customers.
As a fashion company, we make decisions every day – about design and materials, pricing and production volumes, delivery times, communication, and collaboration. These decisions affect people: within our company and throughout our value chain.
With these decisions comes responsibility. A responsibility that, for us, extends beyond the product itself.
Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion are therefore an integral part of our understanding of responsible business practices. For us, this means treating people fairly and respectfully, valuing different perspectives, and creating opportunities for participation.
Working together as equals
We have a particular responsibility toward our employees, our production and business partners, our customers, and the people and communities directly or indirectly connected to our work.
We recognize that the global fashion industry continues to be shaped by unequal power dynamics. Through their purchasing and business decisions, brands and retailers influence the conditions within their supply chains. At the same time, a large proportion of the work in the textile and garment industry is carried out by women, while decision-making and negotiating power are not always equally distributed.
We want to build long-term, fair, and respectful relationships with our production and business partners. This includes taking their perspectives seriously, not shifting responsibility onto others, and continually questioning our own decisions and their impact.
Diversity is part of MYMARINI
For us, JEDI means:
- treating people with dignity, respect, and appreciation – regardless of gender or gender identity, origin, age, physical or mental abilities, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, social background, or other personal characteristics;
- valuing different perspectives, experiences, and lived realities and creating space for them within our company;
- recognizing and addressing barriers and disadvantages within our sphere of influence;
- creating fair opportunities for participation, personal and professional development, and active involvement;
- building respectful relationships and collaborating as equals with employees and partners;
- representing people in our products, imagery, and communication in diverse and respectful ways – beyond perceived ideals and stereotypes;
- taking responsibility for the communities and society of which we are a part.
We want these values to be reflected in everything we do: in the way we work together and shape our company culture, in our products and communication, throughout our supply chain, and in our social engagement.
We keep moving forward
For us, responsible business practices and JEDI are not tasks that can ever be considered complete. Society changes. Perspectives change. And we continue to evolve, too.
We want to listen, remain open-minded, and continually question our own structures and habits. Wherever we identify barriers or opportunities for improvement, we want to take action and further develop the way we work.
This is not about achieving perfection. It is about taking responsibility for our impact and contributing, step by step, to a future that is more just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive.
Responsibility and accountability
MYMARINI's management has formally adopted this JEDI Commitment and is responsible for embedding it within the company and ensuring its continued development.
Management ensures that the JEDI principles are taken into account in our policies and decisions – within our team, in our collaboration with production and business partners, in our interactions with customers and our community, and in our social engagement.
We regularly reflect on where we stand, what we can improve, and which next steps would be most meaningful.
What we learn informs our actions and the ongoing development of this Commitment.
