This autumn we held our first MYMARINI Surf & Yoga Retreat!
We invited our guests into a relaxed, bohemian style house to discover a slower pace of life. In the Beautiful surroundings of the Portuguese Coastline in Alentejano our guests met the founder of MYMARINI Mareen and joined our wonderful team. We had almost four blissful days of personalized surf coaching, restorative yoga sessions and delicious nourishing foofood. It was held in collaboration with MOOANA and LAURENS YOGA and a MYMARINI outfit was waiting there for our guests.

"I made the decision to go to the Portugal Mymarini retreat as a spur of the moment decision. Earlier this year a good friend of mine down in Falmouth, Cornwall, sent me a link to a Mooana retreat down in Falmouth. I was desperate to do it but just couldn't because the dates were not great for me. I've never been on a retreat before, but I love surfing and yoga, and spending a few days doing both sounded fabulous. As fate would have it this same friend took me along to a yoga class that Lauren Biddulph happened to be giving. It was through this that I soon found out there were other retreat dates and locations, and one of then I could do. So I booked it and can honestly say it was the most glorious few days. Concha is a beautiful soul. She shines. She gave me a big hug when I arrived and made me feel so welcomed.
Concha and Andre were brilliant surf instructors. They both have endless patience and it is very obvious they both love the ocean and surfing and just want to share that love with as many people as possible.
Lauren is a gem, and has a gift for teaching. I really enjoyed her yoga sessions and left each one feeling energised and refreshed.
The food at the retreat was 'fantastic'. We had our own dedicated chef, Diana Basto Ferreira, and I honestly couldn't wait each meal to see what she had prepared.
Mareen Burk and her Mymarini team were all lovely, and their passion for surfing and the ocean translated into the gorgeous swimwear we were all given. An added perk was the weather and water was so warm we got to surf in them without wetsuits! I have since become an avid follower of her swimline and have started my own personal collection.
Everyone I met at the retreat were great and I made friends who share my love of the ocean and surfing... not something that happens often in Manchester! I honestly cant wait to go on another Mooana Retreat. I've already started saving!"
